My Uber ride today

So I learned something today about uber drivers. Has anyone noticed when you’re in the car with an uber driver they think they can ask you anything. Why is it they feel that social rules dissipate within their cars. This guy had the balls to ask me how much money I make at work. What kind of question is that. He proceeded to ask me what my rent is,  where I lived before Vegas and what the difference in salary is for me. I don’t know what this guys deal is but I feel like that happens pretty often. People are always asking where you’re going and what you’re doing there. Like,  you’re my driver mother fucker not my social coordinator. You gotta know what the fuck I’m doing and why. You want the guy to shut up but what are you really supposed to say. Does this make me a bad person? Does it make me nonsocial? Yeah probably but nobody ever said I was a sociable guy. Yeah I can shoot the shit with friends but I don’t know you. You’re my taxi or my ride. That is all. I miss taxi drivers before uber. The kind of people that didn’t give a shit about you, where you were going or why you were going there. They barely talked and just took their money. So since I’ve been driving for uber. I decided I’m not talking to anyone unless they start the conversation. Otherwise I’ll leave them in peace. I don’t know them; they don’t know me. Why should I bother them. So to all uber drivers, not that anybody actually reads this thing, Shut The Fuck Up.

I'm just a guy, who really is trying to figure out what the move is.
